Preacher James Barber was saved 51 years ago when he was 39 years old. He was saved under Pastor Jimmy Hussey's ministry.
Preacher Barber was called into the ministry out of Welcome Baptist Church, and attended West Lenoir Baptist College and Seminary.
The first church he pastored was Central Baptist Church in Axton, Virginia. He finished up 20 years as a Pastor at Central Baptist Church in Gibsonville, NC. He is now an active member of Brown Summit Baptist Church in Brown Summit, NC.
Preacher Barber was married for many decades to his wife. He misses her since she passed, and looks forward to the day he will be reunited with her in heaven. He has two sons, and says his two wonderful daughter-in-laws take great care of him as he is getting older. He also has three grand-children and five great grand-children.
